Our story
Armorik, France’s first single malt, was born in Brittany at the Warenghem distillery. Founded in Lannion, in the Côtes d’Armor, on the Pink Granite Coast, our distillery has been independent and family-owned for over 100 years. Built in 1900 to produce the finest liqueurs, it has more than a century of experience and artisanal know-how.
In 1983, thanks to Gilles Leizour’s passion for innovation and whisky, it became the first whisky distillery in Brittany. For more than 20 years, our distillery has demonstrated its craft and expertise in French whisky. With the creation of Armorik in 1998, we were the first to launch a Breton Single Malt Whisky. Since then, our reputation has kept growing and Armorik has won over the palates of many enthusiasts.
To thank them and start a conversation with them, we invite them to join Chai n°4, the Armorik Whisky Club. Created to bring together lovers of whisky, and of Armorik in particular,
Chai n°4 is open to everyone.
Its aim: to create a warm and friendly space around
an enthusiastic community.
With the name Chai n°4, the distillery refers to its ageing cellars. With 3 cellars today housing more than 6,000 casks, the idea of opening a 4th, intangible one was born: this cellar would be the physical and virtual meeting place for all club members, bringing together lovers of Armorik Single Malt.
