Armorik Brest 2020 is an exclusive edition bottled for the International Maritime Festival of Brest 2020. Resulting from a double maturation in barrels of bourbon and Madeira, it thus honors Madeira barrels for their powerful aromas and their link to the sea. Indeed this natural sweet wine from the island of Madeira traditionally acquires its taste qualities thanks to transport by boat, inducing agitation and heat.
Distilled in March 2013, bottled in March 2020. To illustrate the partnership with the Fêtes Maritimes Internationales, the label for this special edition Armorik was designed by designer Gildas Java, who also designed the festival poster.
NOSE
Fresh and delicious, it develops into fresh fruit (peach) and citrus. More pastry notes then arrive accompanied by flambéed banana and orange blossom.
PALATE
On the palate we find this fruity and lemony character, for this always warm whiskey with beautiful floral notes. It evolves towards spices, ginger, pepper, coated in honey.
FINISH
The cereals come through for an elegant and warm finish, with buckwheat biscuits on a note of bitter orange.
